Semper Fi Brothers
Another year has passed and we tried to do you proud .. We won't forget and we won't let anybody else forget the sacerfice you and your famlies have endured..We on TWS discussed the Island and the cost for 4 days ending last night .. I'm glad the thread got attention ((over 550 different discussions))and I hope it rates right up there at the top in their mind the next time they hear a story about Our Or Anyones Hero's. And This is and was not a blame game thread ,,,To do justice to these and all of our hero's it Was a Celebration of History ,Tradition and love for Brothers and the sacerfices that were made for us all . This is a day in our history like every day that never surprises us like it might the people that have never experienced our brother hood .. And Where the world might stop and think about the sacrifices they were being asked to give,, Our Brothers have already acted ... Semper Fi Brothers your Jobs were well Done and now you can rest and let us stand watch . |

I HAVENT BEEN TO THE SITE LATELY. I'M SUFFERING FROM A.L.S. LOU GHERIGS DISEASE BEEN DIAGNOSED SINCE LAST FEB.

May 15, 1975 Wow, does it seem like 34 years has past... My thoughts and prayers for all those who didn't return and for all who still suffer. I look forward to getting together next year in Branson.

As far as I know, the USS Harold E. Holt, or personnel, did not receive any recognition or awards for either operation Eagle Pull (Final evacuation of Viet Nam and fall of Saigon), or the Mayaguez rescue/recovery operation. I was aboard on both missions and was not notified of anything.
