A seven-member investigation team spent a week on the island off the coast of Cambodia in September, where it investigated two sites located in areas where the heaviest fighting occurred, JPAC officials said last month.
I THOUGHT I SHOULD SHARE THIS WITH MY KOH TANG BROTHERS

Back in the 80's when I was in the Navy, then Lt Tom Noble would tell us about what you guys did and went through. We would listen with awe to a story that so few people knew about. Thanks to your site I was finally able to get a hold of Tom again and talk about those memorable moments. Thanks and be proud of what you guys did.

This message is from The family of John Daughtry, One of the Spectra pilots on our mission.
Good Morning...
I just wanted to touch base and let you know my father passed away New Years day morning. He had some heart surgery right before Thanksgiving and seemed to doing well; but he passed peacefully in his sleep, in his own bed, at his home on the beach. I know that he really enjoyed the reunion in Branson and was very proud of being a part of the Mayaguez Operation.
Here is the link to his obituary if you would like to read it.... He really was a Great American.

Greetings shipmates! I was also changed forever by our shared experience at Koh Tang. I am grieved by the passing of Al Corson, Jim Davis and others who are no longer with us, but I am truly impressed and thankful for the enduring efforts of Al Bailey and others who have collected and posted the artifacts on this site so that this moment in history might be preserved. May your Christmas holiday be filled with the Spirit of Christ. With Aloha, Terry
