I will be attending the burial at Arlington on the 15th. While serving in the Marine Corp I purschased a POW/MIA bracelet with the name of PFC Lynn Blessing. I recenty had the pleasure of traveling to Lancaster PA and found his head stone for the remains that were returned in June of 2000. I then spoke with his wife in 2001 and returned the original bracelet to her. This trip I spoke with his only son who was a year old when his father died and he invited me to the service. I will be there in honor of PFC Blessing and all those Marines who served.

While trying to figure-out my new smart phone (sometimes I think it is smarter them me) I came across this article. Don’t know if anyone else has found it, but thought I would pass along just the same. Highlight and move, or type the below address into your browser to go to: “Mayaguez Goat Screw”:

Hello all Just found this sight. I was on the USS Henery B Wilson DDG-7 Just off the coast of the island about a mile or so. We sank a gun boat that was in the bay. I saw the helo that was shot down. A lot of people wanted to go and check for survivors, but the word from on high was no. Did see them drop a daisy cutter on the island. A lot of people do not belive that the Wilson made the all night run from Taiwan to the island in I want to say less than 12 hours but we did.

Hey Brothers,
Just wanted to say that the ceremonies at Arlington will only happen once. As far as I know JPAC will not be looking for any more of our brothers. Please do your best to be there if it is possible. To me and my wife this will be another chapter in our lives that we can put to rest. Love to all hope to see you in Arlington. Terry&Kathy Brooks

I would love to speak to anyone who knew my uncle Sgt. Jimmy Black of the 56th SFS. I am trying to find more photos of him while he served, hear stories about him and I would eventually like to tie it all in with the mission that would take his life. Please contact me as soon as you can. You can also contact me at jennifer.r.milligan@uscg.mil but please respond to both email addresses

Thank you, all who fought on Koh Tang, for your brave actions in defense of others. I am a 23 year old man who wanted to honor the bravery of you and your fallen comrades. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. May God grant you new life with Him in Jesus Christ, and reward you for your noble actions in His kingdom, which will be without end.
