I was a crew member on board the USS CORAL SEA. CVA-43 at the time of the Mayaquez Incident. It was a crazy time in my life which I've relived over and over and over again, for the last 37 years. I'm glad to have found your web site and hope to possibly reunite with some of my brothers in the future

To All of our Brothers and friends, this is to let everyone know that another of our Fallen Brothers has been accounted for as of 30 Jan 2013. PFC Daniel A. Benedett was accounted for on that date and is listed on the Department of Prisoners/Missing in Action website. That leaves four Marines remains unaccounted for, Loney, Hall, Hargorve and Marshall. I believe that the Air Force has only one unaccounted for and that is Rumbaugh whom drowned. May there be some closure for the family and for us knowing that another one of our own will be laid to rest finally after soon to be 38 years. I wished they all could be accounted for and closure for all. May they rest in peace for God knows they deserve it.

Welcome home all. I was part of the mission during May 1975 that lifted off from NKP and flew to U-Tapoe. I was close friends with William McKelvey and Greg Hankamer. May 13th was a sad day for me. While at NKP I was the NCOIC of the BPS Section (the alarms around the base).

Stationed at Nakhom Phanom Thailand in 1971, 1973-1975, with the 56th Security Police Squadron. Was close friends with about 6 of the Knife #13 Security Police and a Brother to ALL of the Crew. Drove out to the Crash Site the next night to relieve Thai Army w/Thai Air Force and was able to return with Hankermer's 'upper receiver group'. Went back to NKP in 2011 and on the 'Old'Perimeter dropped to one knee and was overwhelmed! Still think about them....Welcome Home Brothers!!
