Just found your site. I am a 12 yr Navy vet, 67-79 and was a B/N with VA-95 on the Coral Sea. It was an amazing time.. I was B/N in the lead A-6 which dropped bombs on Ream and the Navy base. It was a lot different seeing those tracers coming at us, then it was at the practce ranges! Feels really weird reading about it so many years later. The night before we left Cubi, we were at the O'club with a bunch of Marines who went in on the helos. I recall taking one of them to hospital after eating a glass- tough dudes!!

from the KTMV's Org. BOD

Mike Hennen (US Marine Knife 31 East Beach) is back in the hospital. About 2 months ago his leg was amputated below the knee. He now has a lot of infection in his body and they possibly going to amputate his leg above the knee. Would appreciate if you’d text him @ (731) 607-1870 and let him know you have him in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you and Semper Fidelis

Al,

Thanks for stopping and having lunch with Barbara and I on your way home. It was great finally meeting you. I will wear the KohTang Vet hat proudly. We will make every attempt to be at the reunion in June.

God Bless you and Tina and God Bless all those who served during the Mayaguez Recovery.

Thanks to all of you Veterans for your selfless service, sacrifice, and dedication to duty in serving our beloved country. As Cambodian-American, serving in the U.S Army, it is my sacred duty and honor to be in this uniform. The torch passes on to me in following everyone’s footstep in preserving our powerful military strength.

I read about the battle of the “Mayaguez Incident” and I am fascinated by it. There were so many brave men lost their lives. And their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Once again, thanks for your sacrifice and dedication.

God's blessing

I just read an amazing article about my fellow brothers of 2/9 at Koh Tang in the August edition of the "American Legion" magazine. Happy holidays to all, Semper Fi!
