Thanks to all of you Veterans for your selfless service, sacrifice, and dedication to duty in serving our beloved country. As Cambodian-American, serving in the U.S Army, it is my sacred duty and honor to be in this uniform. The torch passes on to me in following everyone’s footstep in preserving our powerful military strength.
I read about the battle of the “Mayaguez Incident” and I am fascinated by it. There were so many brave men lost their lives. And their sacrifices will never be forgotten.
Once again, thanks for your sacrifice and dedication.
God's blessing

Another year is almost gone. It does not get easier for me, only harder. Time will go on and my memory will still vividly recall that island, all the faces, and names. As lawyers say, possession is nine tenths of the law (MHH). Never assigned to our Platoon or my squad but they were placed in my perimeter. They were on the beach of shrinking 180 degree perimeter, I saw them to my right. Someone called for a MG team to the left, foot steps running moved behind me right to left; I regret not looking behind me to see who was running. The question to ask is, who called for a MG team to the left and where did that person place them. Me and my squad were on the last bird. Others were also on that last bird but they were not all "G" company. ECHO company was the KEY role in the extraction from the beach, especially my squad that was assigned that duty. I have PTSD with a high rating and take five head medications and narcotics. I am tired mentally of thinking of MHH but I will endure and fight the thoughts of them each and every day. My heart goes out to their families and I am sorry that I did not do a better job in performing my duties.
/** Scott, just wanted to let you know, “you are not alone”, most all of us from this mission suffer with PTSD in various forms. You have a Band of Brothers that are there for you. Hope to see you at one of the reunions or gatherings before we all get the walking-farts and become senile.
Semper Fidelis and let us all be blessed with a happier new year.

Recently visited D.C. Went to the Wall and was able to see the names of the brothers that were in my company. It was surreal. Was able to show my adult children and wife. They didn't realize what I had done because I never told them the whole story until then. Seeing the Wall and the names helped them to understand.
