I remember the fire on the USS Denver. They had us up on the flight deck ready to abandon ship. The call came out that the fire was out but in just a couple of minutes it flared up again for a few minutes.
We had a couple of weeks in Japan ship yard while they repaired the ship. I started drinking beer there due to nothing else tasted good to drink. |

Welcome Home to all,
Thirty seven years ago we lost the Knife 13 crew and a few great marines on Koh Tang during the Mayaquez mission. This year the anniversary date falls on Mother's Day. Please say a special prayer for those Mother's who feel the loss of those brave AF Security troops and the Marines who were left behind. Welcome Home 432nd SPS Udorn Thailand 1974-1975 |

37 years ago this weekend we were evacuating Siagon. I was on the USS Coral Sea CVA-43 for both Operation Frequent Wind and the Mayaguez Recovery. Never Forget and God Bless you all.
