Was assigned to the 40th ARRS as an aircraft electrician and was sent to U-Tapo during the mission. I am also glad to see your keeping the history alive. Many people I've talked to don't remember, so I remind them. I would like to thank the Marines, Sailors and Airmen that had "boots on the ground", they did a fantastic job under unfaverable conditions.

Check out the panoramic pictures of Koh Tang Island taken on 4 Apr 2011 by Ruslan Dronov-
http://www.360cities.net/image/palm-beach-asia#25.80,-45.60,108.0
This link takes you directly to east beach. On left side of screen OPEN MAP to see island and 4 different dots/pictured areas. South west end of island you see a boat and swimmers, most likely those that took the pictures.

I was a deck seaman aboard the USS Harold E. Holt and was involved in the towing of the Mayaguez. I actually was aboard the Mayaguez to handle the rigging of the mooring lines for towing and rode the Mayaguez until the crew was returned and the ship came back under its own power and was later transfer to a seagoing tugboat out of Sattahip, Thailand.

Here's something that a few of you more "senior" Koh Tang vets might find useful: http://www.va.gov/opa/pressrel/pressrelease.cfm?id=2035
It details Agent Orange claims for VA disability.
