I was an AO3 in the Airlaunched Weps GM Div on the Coral Sea during the Vietnam evacuation and Mayaguez. I remember loading walleyes all morning, then late afternoon helping with helo ops and wounded. Allot of heroes were made that day. I also remember in 77 we were anchored in Pusan Korea and the crew of the Mayaguez were visiting.

When AL called me and told me hospice was with Dave I knew it wouldn't be long before the inevitable was going to happen. The wife and I have been through to many passing due to cancer and no one ever made it. Dave and I were in boot camp together and had our own apartment in Oceanside our last year in the corp. He loved Bob Seger and Steve Miller so when ever anyone of us hears a song by one of them please remember Dave he was a great person and we will miss him alot.

Our brother and friend, David Fowler, has been knocking on heaven's door for three months now. God graciously opened that door and let him in today. David's battle with cancer has ended, he is at peace with the Lord. Please feel free to share your love with his family members in this time of mourning. Words cannot express all the emotions we are feeling right now. David, was a remarkable human being, kind and giving to all. He will be missed. With all our love, Al & Tina Bailey David -- I know in my heart that you are in heaven right now. Semper fi. Just got depressing news that Dave Fowler may not survive his medical challenges. I'm taking a moment to reflect on Dave's brave contributions at Koh Tang and his selfless leadership of our organization, and would hope everyone else do the same. Please say a prayer as he moves on to the mandatory big reunion to which we all have invitations and all will definitely attend. Godspeed Dave Fowler. Semper Fi.

Happy new year to all my brothers. My prayers are going out to Dave and Stump. I wish I could make it down to the reunion but travel is a bit of an issue right now. Maybe next time. Hats of to Terry Brooks and his version of the truck, and to all the organization that keeps this going no matter what. I feel I can read a few messages and connect back to the group some. I hope the reunion is great. Semper Fi.
