I was stationed at Utapao RTNB, a Sgt in the USAF, when this event took place. Among the things I remember are the rows and rows of cots set up on the flightline for the Marines as they came in from Okinawa. Another memory is visiting some of the wounded at our medical facility and seeing the blood soaked litters outside the facility. God bless the Marines and all of our service people, active and vets.

Are any of our members interested in taking a tour of the Explosive Ordnance Disposal { EOD} school during the 2018 reunion? As the only USAF EOD type left alive from the Mission I may be able to arrange it. God Bless.
