Good Morning Brothers. I have received a few requests to do a test email so that we can verify good and bad email address's. I will be doing this over the next few weeks as I will have to add the names by hand. Unfortunately merging emails from one location to another is not going to work. The new email address I will be using for the organization will be kohtangvets@gmail.com I apologize for the delay but I felt this was the best option to protect individual privacy. Please take a moment and send an email to this address and that will save some data entry. If you do not wish to be on this email list then simply send a message with REMOVE in the subject line. Thanks for you patience. God Bless Larry

I just wanted to let everyone know that I have put the newest pictures of Knife 13 on the mayaguezfallenheroes.com site. I now only need 4 more Air Force heroes to have all 41 of them. And if anybody has pictures on any of the ones that have passed please send me a copy so they to can e posted along side of their brothers in arms.

I wanted to thank everyone for the Awesome Get Well card I received yesterday. I start cardiac rehab this week.
I've made good progress after Triple By-Pass although I still have a long way to go. Thank you all very much for your thoughts and prayers.
It is hard to believe next year will be 40 years since the Mayaguez recovery. Hopefully I'll be able to attend the reunion.
God Bless and Thanks Again,
Charlie

When I was back visiting in Md. in May, 2012, my good friend, Al Baily, invited me to come and meet those of you who made it to the reunion at his and Tina's house. I've got to say, it was a real honor to meet all of you who were there-all 3 branches: Marine Corps, Navy and Air Force. I recently was able to purchase a copy of "The 14 Hour War", to increase my knowledge of what all of you went through, and am now passing it around for others to read. I would also consider it an honor to meet many of you again in the future. Semper Fi!

By providence, on May 19th, I ran into one of your members, Allen Bailey, at Midway Airport. He saw a patch on my vest and recognized that I served as an Air Force Security Policeman. It was 17 of our guys, as well as the helicopter crew, that crashed and died on the way to rescue the Mayaguez. Allen told me that at your reunions you graciously recognize our guys along with yours. For that I say, "Thank You, and Welcome Home Brothers."

It was great to see and hear from alot of participants concerning the operation May 1975. It was also good to see my Plt Sgt - SSgt Clark Hale (1stSgt Retired). Thanks to all who put together this outstanding event. I look forward to the next re-union and reflecting with you all about the operation. We have a new organizational president = Terry Brooks.

I just want to say a special thank you to the Koh Tang vets and for a wonderful reunion. Thank you for the special gift to of the vest to Bob. Also thank you to all the men for carrying Bob up and down the stairs. Bob is having a hard time talking these days, so if he was quiet it is taking effort to talk and to swallow. We got back from Branson Monday late afternoon and my dad died Tuesday morning suddenly. He was in the Air Force. Again thank you to all the vets.
